Resist the impluse to buy a 100-footer unless you're SURE thats what you need. Its an unruly beast. No matter how carefully you wrap it, it turns into a clusterfuck by the next time you use it.

I've been using my A-team lunchbox to put my long S-cable in. Keeps it from venturing forth into my other cables.

I love it when a plan comes together

I'll pass on a tip I got from some AV pros a long time ago. For keeping all your long cords neat and tidy while moving, try using Cord Storage Reels designed for ac extension cords available from the your local hardware store. Goto the homedepot website and search for Bayco. Expensive, hard to replace cords always need tender loving care for transport and storage.

generally resist the temptation to buy chaeap svid cables, they are the most delicate of cabe types and fail regularly,
buying cheapo ones is a false economy, cos youll end up replacing them more often, if your buying a monster svid cable but the most epensive fattest beast you can, and yeah get a cable drum for it
