Just wondering if anyone knows of a software or plugin for premiere or v-dub, that will randomly crop a still image??? basically I wanna set like minimum dimensions for a crop and then have it randomly crop areas of and image to get a randomly sized area of an image, also the ability to scale them all to a set rez and turn that into an .avi would be good too but that you can do in premiere in 2secs.

was sent this one by Many-2 (thanks a bunch mate)... thought I would post for everyones use.

Just one prob you have to batch all your images to 24bit TARGA first and it will only crop to a set dimension and not crop @ all if the image is smaller than that dimension.

This shouts of a VJO filter.

a simple random crop would be pretty simple to set up/build.
then you can run any avi at all through it, WITH sound respsone.

Lucky for VJo piper, I specifically said I wanted a stand alone tool.... I'm not buying VJo for this....

Get over it mate.

sure, i'll ask over there. think it could be cool not having to render that out with each clip... and since i already bought it, i might as well take free advice on how to use it.

uh...sorry for digging this post up from the dead! The link or whatever he posted must have been purged. Though if I remember correctly it was very buggy and only worked on W98!

But I'm wondering if a tool for exactly what morph was looking for 8 years ago exists? I've got an idea for something....

it's pretty easy to do with after effects expressions.

also try irfanview - it can do something like this iirc
