VIDEO RIOT!

SF Opening night of the Transcinema Festival
--------------------------------------------

On Tuesday October 8, in association with the Transcinema Festival, Dimension 7
(D7) will host "Video Riot!", a
special installment of San Francisco's monthly "Video Salon".

We are taking over a parking lot, and creating a massive wall of light across
from the D7 studio downtown.

A cross between an edgy electronic tailgate party and a real-time drive-in
multiplex, VIDEO RIOT! will showcase
San Francisco Vj's, many of whom will not be showing at other Transcinema
events.

This promises to be a truly intense collective projection experience, inspired
by a two year series of monthly
events that cater to the local Vj scene.

The program will include screenings of Electronica-Optica's VJTV and the
Drummachine Museum's DMTV,
television shows that showcase VJ art, at an indoor mixer after the show.

Bring your walkmans to tune into the simultaneous FM radio broadcast by INFINIT
KAOS DJ's IKarus, Alaric
(Insect Funeral) and Kapt. Kaos.

FAQ:

WHAT IS VIDEOSALON:

Video Salon is an open community of visual artists
representing SF's thriving Vj scene. Video Salon
is YOU.

We are hosted by Dimension7, a San Francisco Vj
institution, and organized by Jon Schwark AKA videojon
and Grant Davis AKA VJ Culture.

Our monthly event features screenings, software
demo's, and an extended open Vj mixing session to
music by our DJ friends from Infinite Kaos.

OUR MISSION:

To embrace a broad spectrum of time based visual
artists including CG artists, experimental filmmakers,
live visual performance artists and installation
builders.

To promote technical experimentation and aesthetic
development within our community.

To create an open dialog encouraging mutually
beneficial critique, cross-pollination and
