VirtualDub Batch Assistant is a piece of software to allow you to automate the process of creating a job file for virtual dub
you can add multiple files and add a suffix to your converted avis
it seems to work quite well - give it a try

Great idea, I'll give it a try soon. :) MoRpH: yeah using the job list under virtualdub is easy but you have to manually open all files so it can get tired if there is a lot of samples. With a tool like this the job list can be built much faster (at least that's what I gather from reading the page).

Works really good! I always using it to compress my avi's with cinepack or to convert mpg or mov files to avi. Just batch those files and run them all!!!!!!

Huh your getting mov's into virtual dub??? how??? I normally convert from mov to avi with premiere (or straight out of QT pro if it crashes premiere, which some of the new codecs do), then do any cutting/etc, in v-dub

Thats an easy one, Premiere is a buggy git! Seriously, can u give an example of a codec that crashes it and your version of Premiere?

As I said it only really happens to me when batch converting friggin quicktimes, dunno what the codec is, never bothed to check, if it don't work in premiere I just open it in QT pro and export to avi from there and it works
