Hello,
I have been thinking about what effects I would like to have in a Freeframe plug-in format.
This is a little future freeframe wanted list....
a) Strobo!!! How can nobody programmed a lovely strobo plug-in??? 80s are back...
b) Incremental Strobo. This is a kind of strobo in two steps. During the first step the frames are summed/added/multiplied and during the second step the added image gets freezed (like in regular strobo). Sort of Pete Warden Wave in the first step and the waved image in the second step.
This two step thing bring down a very important fact: sync with music. It is possible someone release a simple and quick beat detector for use in Freeframe effects??? I would make one control with Automatic ON and 5-300BPM in most effects. This way we could enjoy beat effects...
c) A nice vectorize+find edges plug-in. Something that make any video look like a cartoon. Maybe the edges are optional. The Vectorize effect from Pete Warden is nearly there, but doesn't create edges and the colour count slider is not well balanced. Two little options in the low colours...
