Has anyone else seen any of the 'gasbook' series? I got bought one as a present and it's pretty cool.

Basically, it is a DVD of video work by various artists, with a book compiled from bits submitted by each artist.

The book wasn't really the bit that interested me most (although it was interesting) The DVD was really good - loads of great work that sparked off all sorts of ideas.

The one that I got was number 10, so I assume there are at least 9 more - anyone seen them?

Looks like Gas Book 8 was the first to use DVD, Cdrom used in previous ones. Sounds interesting anyhow!

cool, i never heard of this before but looking at morph's link there is quite a bit of VJs there apparently... coldcut, hexstatic, tomato, onedotzero, etc. it's something which will have to be added on the upcoming DVD section at VJC. :)

The URL in the book, www.gas-city.com goes to a Japanese page that doesn't really provide a whole lot of information..

Morph - yep - those are the ones.

I've got the 'movement' one. I particularly like the Richard Fenwick pieces that it has on it - one of them ("people") is real world footage with head-up-display style graphics adding all sorts of information over the top.
