chicago equipment dealers?

hey. i have a gig this tuesday, and need a scan converter. does anyone know a store in chicago (or in the area) that would have one (pref. under $150).

you could order one online and probably get it in time
*hint search for "scan converter" on www.priceline.com

your other option (if using a desktop) is to go to any discount computer parts store and pick up a video card with TV out...either replacing your old one, or adding it as a second one via PCI

i got a returned one from microcenter for about $50, but it sucks (ed) i still have it but dont use it. use the svid out on my powerbook. from what i have heard you need to spend about $300 to get a decent one.

here is a page with chicago broadcast equipment supply houses. im not up on where to get a good scan converter or what would be a good one, so this might help on your search.

(im also not familiar with cpc)
