important too: how should the bpm
count be translated to a videosoft?
via midi?
there's an amazing pd patch for that
kinda stuff , but u got to to dedicate a whole pc 4 that.
svd1/2 got a bpm analyser on board
but it seem they're not back into business yet.

in the meantime maybe u'd be better off with a hardware solution like the redsound voyager

For the PC, I only tried it once, it does more than you need really so Im not sure how suitable it is, but may be worth a look.
