Hmmm good luck TBCs are one of the VERY few things in our industry that REALLY hold their value. Hopefully Per-i and I will have a product out soon to meet your needs @ a reasonable price though :)

Hi Morph,

i have probably fixed the problem with multiple slave boards. Still need to do some testing to be sure ofcourse
But the results look promessing!

Just wanted to let you know.

Gr,

per-i :p :o :p :o :p :o :p

Hello hamageddon,

What we are trying to sync? Well we are working on several video hardware projects. The main one at the moment is our videomixer. Well actually there are 2. One of them uses the Fx board of an MxPro. Only the Fx board, so no delay problems like in the MxPro. The other one is a new project and i will tell you more about that in the futere. It is a new mixer designed by Morph, James (HeyVj) and Me. But for our designs we need to be able to sync videosignals (the basic thing any videomixer needs). We have designed our own TBC and it is working. Now i started talking to Morph about a CVI and he mentioned that he wanted a TBC for it but they where to expensive. We now are working on Master and Slave boards. The master boards sends the videosync signal and all the slave boards are synced to this signal. I had some problems when i wanted to use more then 4 slave boards, but that is probably fixed now.

Gr,

per-i:nod:

Per-i great to get updates and nice to see you filling the ppl in on our little schemes, but I think Hama was asking vipnaxal what unit he was needing the 3 channel TBC to use, to get working :)

i need to sync 3 different video signals to the first one.
i don?t know which conector (i mean composite or bnc or minisvhs) i need or will be the cheapest for an production of an tbc.
the most outputs i have are composite-chinch and svhs.

Hmmmm don't ppl understand or read other ppls post these days or is everyone tripping around here... FFS

Hama wanted to know what unit you need to sync the signals to use...... IE an oldskool mixer that needs synced inputs. Nothing to do with friggin connectors

i think its not necesary to know for which unit(if you mean the videomixer) i will use the tbc.
if the 3 video- chanels are syncted you can use any mixer.

i want to use it for an VIVANCO TRICKMIXER VM 3000 (from germany)
this unit has 3 inputs (bnc and 7pol din),
an black burst (output i think),
3 outputs (bnc and 7pol din),
key and SW sync (i think the first is an input and the SW sync is an output which can send the picture information from the first chanel to an tbc, i hope so)

at the moment i only use this mixer for color-effects at one chanel.

Cool vipnaxal, I think Hama was just asking out of interest mate thats all, and no your right we don't need to know to solve the problem, but I already adressed it, so hama was just interested.

However the unit sounds interesting, how about a review for VJC :)

tnx morph, u did a fine job on interpretation here :)

as 4 the vivanco, honestly i think u should move over to the bigger vivanco units like the VM5000 which AFAIK has built in tbc's.

there's always the poss of using another vmixer like the ave5 as a tbc for a non-tbc mixer, but in that special case it would IMHO be a bit ridiculous doing this.

now this tbc thing is quite interesting, peri , that would open a nice niche market i guess....
have u estimated the cost of a unit yet?
and did i understand that right, them being modular and stackable?

Yep hama the whole idea of the TBC that I suggested to per-i and he is now working on is that it is modular in nature, there for you can add on to it as needed depending on your kit :) that and that we keep it reasonably priced so ppl can combine it with oldskool kit for great CHEEP video solutions :)
