By the conversations on the Transport [London] thread about coming from Holland, your best bet seems to be to try to fly to Leeds and Bradford Airport, but I don't know if any low cost airlines (easyjet, ryanair, and probably others) fly directly there.
If you're flying elsewhere and getting a train to Leeds, then booking 7 days in advance, and specifying the trains you are travelling on can save you lots of money, but you have to travel at the time you state.
(www.thetrainline.co.uk and www.qjump.co.uk are online booking sites. I have not used them so have no idea what they are like. Phone information would be available by phoning england on +44 845 484950)
Je ne Parle pas Francais bien, mais if vous ne comprendez pas mon anglais, uni ami parlez francais auci, et t'aidez mois.
Hope this was understandable French and not garbage:)

hey, found out an other way as well which is good if you are travelling from europe(holland or drive to holland) with a big group (6/7 persons) . rent a car and to take the boat to harwich. (stenaline) it was a good and a little bit cheaper alternative then by plane to leeds (236 euro from amsterdam airport) or the boat + car rental + diesel = 800+/- euro divided by six came to a total 166,40 euro so we decided to do that instead.
cheaper but only when travelling with a bigger group.
sorry my french suckz , but I like your hiphop ^^ (weird hu?)

ok as u all know us aviteers are runnin around like blu arsed flies trying to put all of this together. but there's only so much each of us can do.
we need an extra hand to volounteer to coordinate the travel from london, both for a number of london guys and for the european's flying in to various london airports.
now obviously the best way to go about this is to hire a minibus, cos it'll be loads cheaper than individual rail/coach tickets.
Its quite a handful, but trust me it's a dodle compared to some of the jobs weve got .
anyone up for the challenge pm me
cheers on behalf of all the avit organisers:heart:
