backup to dv cam

back at last and still sleeping it off, but i have a serious hd space/cashflow problem at the mo, and i remember someone either on here or eyecandy back around february mentioning a program that'd let you backup normal files to dv tapes.. anyone have any luck with that cos i need a quick easy solution? or even remeber where it is to be found?

YES, it is possible.

But only for linux, source WAS available. should still be.

if, of course, anyone wants to turn it into a windows command line utility i'm sure it wouldnt' take much but would make me very happy :)
