Where is everyone staying? Is there a post-gig hotel party going on or is everyone splitting home???

Anyone recommend anywhere?

Cian

ok there will be acomadation for some people, it is being prioritised at this moment, sory guys there is two meny of you to fit into my liveing room

outherwise check out http://www.hotels.uk.com/leeds.htm

there will be an after gig space caterd for but you wont neseserily get a bed

so a lot will depend upon several factors, numbers, length of stay, ware people have come from
but until i get some actual figers i can not inform the relervant parties of the situation, i'm realy sory guys about this but to be a part of the first gig then these are the herdels we have to jump, i would truely like it to be diferant but its only recently that we are geting the response that we are

That's a good point, unj.
All performers who need accomodation, can they post to

info@AVIT.org.uk

giving details of your bedding requirements, length of stay (times) and wether you want your eggs fried or boiled:

You have to help us to help you
ps send us some pics and video, thought you lot where into that sort of thing. We need it for websites and press

no fair my man : did every single step on that stepper (except the get 2gether 2 london: bit far innit? :p ) so couldn't get there in time :D I'm just saying: if the points on that list have been met it would be cool to get information in return so we can respond 2 that a little faster and adapt or travel plans/equipment/accomodation info. return that info and so on.

for instance the fact that there is acomodation AFTER the event and not before (for all the people coming in friday night.) I'm just saying would be handy to know....which we do...now...

...i'll shut up now (lol) sorry tuesdaymorning sharpness

its basicly comeing down to the fact that 2-3 weeks ago there was acomadation for all based upon how meny people we had involved then, now that this number has doubeled+ it has become a lot harder to organise, figers changeing daily do's not help, the botem line is that no one will end up on the streets but this shouldn't make you complacent about you situation. the outher point is that some people are now saying a clean floor is not good enough for them, no one promised 5star, and the simple fact is that this is a comunity, d.i.y., event and if your going to be part of it then your going to have to take the rough with the smooth, if you have been folowing the progress of this event mony and therfore expensiss etc was never garanted, and as the responce from yorkshire arts has been such a drawn out experiance of jumping through hoops to satisfie there criteria it was never going to be diferant

if you look at the prices of acomadtaion then compared to town center prices your laughing unless you whant to spend ?100+ on acomadation

don't get me wrong unju : not bitching at all bra, I'll sleep next to a dutch cow as long as it's warm :D (yes we dutch are cheap everyone knows that haha). just stating again that simple info as: no acco on the friday but yes on the saturday is cool to get. and come in handy with the planning and budget for people travelling abroad.

and for the kids that want some 5star arrangement ,fine let them pay there ways: more room for me and my crew on the floor :P

which bring us back to the fridaynight cats that are already there. popquiz? find a cheap hotel and jup in the town with everyone? great way to get to know everyone specially for newbies like prime?

ps: again expenses and such I don't give a **** about everybody knew especially with trial runs of events that the first time it's going to be a big effort where things will go wrong and/or not as planned.. give me a floor, 4 vcrs and a mx-50 and a good atmosphere with people with nice visuals and I'm happy .everything else is already a bonus :)

can live with that as well (cheap, remember :))

maybe a good idea then: to mail out a weekly/bi-daily status-report on everything to the participators/contributors so that help /suggestions can be offered on the various points ?

even though this matter is easily resolved. the fact is is that apart from the step2 of the plan (are you coming) the rest is still blank being equip , place to stay or your eggs fried and boilled :)
with only 2/3 weeks between the initial date.

and update report is fast (especially on the forum) and easily made giving info on eveything officialy from avit itself or on the ten step plan don't have to be figures but rough information is fair enough.

just a idea?
