Making a ripple in the pond

Not sure if this is inspirational or the future because it will be taking place sometime in the near future but it?s inspirational to me as well. My time here at VJC and VJF has been very informative and interesting. With all the inspiration and talk around here I wanted to share the ideas and concepts with others not registered to this site. So the local message board back home WNYSOR (http://www.wnysor.net) has will grant me an exclusive space in the forums so I can share the ideas and concepts that are talked about here. Pretty much what I learn here will be shared there. I hope all of you don?t mind but your ideas will be shown to thousands of people mostly in the electronic music scene. Let?s just say that this little project will be an offspring of VJF and VJC. Of course it?s not as complex and witty. I guess it?s a way of me giving back to the scene back home and generating interest in the work that we do. Believe me it?s much needed in my hometown.

So as I toss my pebble into the pond we can only wait to see what will happen next.

BTW whereabouts in Spain are you? Ive got a friend there who's deeply involved in visuals, and he's doing stuff with a crew of people, even at S?nar. Maybe you know him? He lives in Barcelona right now.

I live in Valencia a 4-5 hour train ride south of Barcelona. I met up with Solly, but haven?t had the chance to meet any other VJs from the area. I heard there are a few collectives making waves.

I went to Sonar last year and couldn?t get in. Ticket scalpers were asking for 150?! Someone came and set up a sound system outside and that?s where I mainly chilled. I did manage to get a video of people crashing the gate in the back. I am sure this year will be even crazier.

Well teh name was similar, and in Spain, so my dumb brain did 1+1 ;)

I recommend you pay them a visit, they are doing terrific stuff. If you see Imasaka say hi to him on my regard ;)
