[note: I still don't know if this is the right place for this kind of stuff, I guess this should be specified more (like saying where this kind of stuff should be, or extending this forum's guidelines to allow this kind of posts)]

Anyway, here's 3 wee videos of our performance at Southfest Buenos Aires, this was 16 april 2004, and it featured local DJs Bad Boy Orange, Martin Garcia and Zuker, and international DJs Sasha, Danny Howells, and the DnB supermegastar Roni Size. The vids here are taken from our 1:45 hour performance with Roni Size. The whole event was 11 hours long and we performed through it all, but Roni's moment was going to be in our opinion the most intense so we put all of our energy in his set. We weren't disappointed, the guy is pure energy.

This is the first time I post anything regarding to VJing at our web space, and first time I show it to anybody outside our work contacts, friends etc. The only people who saw this were the party atendants, some of which were from the press and gave us some really nice comments. Public in general liked the work a lot, and so did the organizers. Personally, bubblo and I are very satisfied with the work we did there. What we want is some opinions from the peeps here who work in other countries and surely are used to other stuff, or have shitloads more experience than us.

I couldn't capture it all because of two main reasons:
1) Lack of HD space to capture it all. We're clogged :D
2) Lack of web space to upload it all. We seriously need more space!

Sorry about the awful compresion and short length of the clips. Oh, and about the odd way of recording it, we didn't get the DV deck we wanted. It's all shot at a strange angle, at least it shows the work raw as it is, none of this is edited (only chopped :P)

Anyway, here's da links:

Looking forward for comments.

Can anybody move this to a proper forum then? Besides not raising any comments Rovastar has made a very valid point recently. This was not meant as a report, at least *I* cannot report it, I'm even asking for someone elses opinion.

General chat maybe? Thanks..

Agreed on the smokemachine :) Though it looked kind of cool sometimes when out of the fog the visuals "faded-in", and we had 4 other screens located in other sector that were smoke-free for everyone to see, so we didn't mind that much. I do hate when lightmen point at our screens. I always have trouble with lightmen, I only know two lightmen who are great, the rest are pretentious knobs who think they run the cabin or something. Anyway, going off-topic...

I really apreciate your comment. Yes we're more of a luma keyers, I like composing stuff like that. The problem is bubblo doesn't feel confident enough with movieclip speed control yet, even more since he has no MIDI controller (yet) connected to his machine, so even if I slow down the clip in my machine, the other one might still be going rampart, so we try to cancel it or freeze/strobe it from the mixer. At some times I screwed up myself, hard to keep up or know that the guy was going to shut it off and spew some words to the mike. Also, my G3 has a lot of latency problems, so I have to think beforehand on how to shoot/move stuff. After some minutes you get used to work "ahead of time" to cope with the delay.

Thanks a lot ;)
