Spent 2 weeks in Slovenia doing content creation workshops and performing in the Central park on Friday evening and at a Matelkova club on Saturday.

Luka aka Seex was in charge of the visual program and invited Eirenah, Scarab and Myself from the forum. Was great meeting everyone in person and seeing them in action.

Ljubljana is a lovely little city, arty, relaxed with some great food and people. The open air musical side of festival ran for two evenings and was free which is quite rare in today?s money grabbing culture. The organizers of this young festival did a great job considering they had such a small budget to work with.

If any one?s in this part of the world next year during May, I would recommend you catch Festival Pomladi (http://www.festivalpomladi.com )

Sounds great!

I went to Ljubljana many years ago - before the troubles in Yugoslavia flared up.

Although hearing news of Ljublijana airport getting hit by airstrikes wasn't quite as shocking as seeing the destruction of Sarajevo just a year or so after visiting it, it was horrible to think of such a pleasant place decending into violence.

Great to hear that it is back to being a nice place again :)

We spent only 2 days there (Scarab and me) but we managed to pick-up the great vibe. It was a pleasure meeting you Morris, and offcourse Seex (Luka) who's been a wonderfull host. I enjoyed gigging with Scarab again (it was our.... 2nd? 3rd time?) - now we got to the level where we actually communicate while VJing and i love that. Also this was my third gig with BelgradeYardSoundSystem, who kick some serious ass and their music is so inspirative for visuals. Luka, thnx a lot for inviting us!

edit: ps: Morris, how's your camera?

hi Eirenah,

I'm looking at my Camera right now, but it still does'nt want to work...(I droped it in a mountain lake, or lets just say the lake pulled it in...makes me feel less stupid) just waiting for the insurence to mature...before claiming.

Metelkova is great Tom, just hope the gready hand of capitalisim does'nt destroy it's socialist feeling...

We have posted some photographs from the main event of the "pomladi festival" (the festival of spring) you can see them here photos (http://www.festivalpomladi.com/default.htm)

Let me say thank you again to Lucidhouse, eirenah, and Scarab for being a helpful bunch and for bringing on a greart show, aspecialy that one on friday that culd have lasted forever but finished at 8.oo in the morning. Lucidhouse thanks again for the content creation workshop, it proved inspiering and the results can already bee seen since the Ljubljana vj-scene is so smal and compact.

Neven Korda was also one of the lecturers on the workshop, i invited him to show his work as a video artist who was active in the mid 1980, a lumakey efect in those days was a 5kg box that costed a smal fourtune. His contribution is a idea i cant get out of my head:

Today we functon in a very predictable inviroment, if the system doesent work we restart it, this attitude is kiling the indivdual who wuld rather build a new system that works. Were slowly progressing towards nothing.
