VCDs on Playstation

doe's anybody know anything about playing VCDs, burnt on a PC, on a playstation

I have a Player Station and a PSone

I heard a long time ago if you get them chipped they will play them. also seen an addon called a movie gamers card, which allows you to play VCDs

you can get some kind of plugin cart for the original playstation that lets you watch VCds dunno about pS1 though??

you'd be better off getting a cheap dvd player though as you'll want to be able to loop a track which the playstation couldn't do then you can also play DVDs

if you don't need to play DVDs then get a cheap small VCD player from your local thai food and vcds shop (there are loads of these in london)

can you not get cheap VCD players in bosnia or serbia?

more just looking at a cheap way to start playing vcds around the place...

but i think i probably will buy a little vcd player.........

As far as i know there is a playstation linux around.

If you know somebody that knows how to handle linux, its is perhabs possible.

I would be even more interested in SVCD playback. I dunno if the speed of this old box is enough for that.
But used playstation can be bought for 20-25 ? in my place... this would be cheap player!

playstaion linux is only for playstation 2

our DVD burner is comming this week maybe i'll review it for vjcentral when i'm not so busy - who knows we might even sell you one of our vcd players if we get into dvd burning..

yes there are both Chip hacks and addons for the Playstation and the PSone to enable playing VCDs...I looked into this recently...there are more options for a PSOne than the old one...no links now though, you'll have to dig...
