As a newbie here, I thought I would share a good source with you all.

We use this company to manufacture custom brackets for monitors etc in Club installs. They are great and good value for custom stuff. They fabbed up some great adjustable stands for my girlfriends Autocue business too.
However, back on topic, they do a great range of off-the-shelf brackets and clamps. A particular favourite is the single suction mount for DV. I stuck this on the side of a 300bhp Subaru Impreza doing 110mph plus round Croft Racing Circuit for hours in a variety of positions and it never budged. Most of them cost well under ?100.00 and are worth their weight in gold.
I can also recomend their DV stabilizers. Like a stedi-cam for hand-helds. I shot loads of footage with this at Energy 2002 in Switzerland and the footage was mega. So much so that the company producing the official VT asked for copies of the media :-)
I relay this info because I spent a good day last year calling pro-hire companies with no joy for DV stuff and then discovered I could buy for less than the hire!
No commercial involvement by us before anyone asks. Just worth sharing...... although you could mention our name if you must. I like a bit of discount as much as the next man!!
