AVIT Announce #3 Equipment / Chat Agenda

Right I have spoken to the Guys doing sound at the corn EX and it has thrown up a few problems please try and have a think before chat tonight

1- we can only get access to rig after 6.15pm
2- we only have 6 plugs on the balcony running a 28amp ring (we may be able to take one 16amp phase off the sound guys
3- Access to the building is up through the front stairs, and then up a spiral staircase! (To the balcony) They recommend we have a trolley etc.
4 - The building is grade 1 listed inside and out, we can not hang things very easily there is no lighting bar in place we may have to use T stands to hang projectors etc.
6 - There are no points for winches or hoists
7 - The manager can sometime be a little fussy

Right so that is that,

I also need to find out off people who are not bringing equipment what they need
eg
SVHS player
MX1
VCD player
PC

and whether they use SVHS cables or composite

I need to get the right mix of equipment for everyone playing so please be specific and email me info@trans-mission.tv

Lets try and brainstorm everything we need as we will need to get the equipment in advance this comes down to 4 ways and tables etc.

Finally does anyone coming to AVit have a 8x8 Video matrix otherwise I will hire one in for the day.

good points steve :) but i should point out we will accsess for the day time well before 6.15pm i'm trying to swing it for a friday night rig for the day if people are up for it? to me that would make the day a whole lot esier

i'll try and make chat tonight but got a meating tonight about finaces this end so dont know when it will rap up, everyone who needs it has my phone number so if there is anything realy important just giz a bell, i have been in contact with most people recantly so as far as i know most people are up to date and so am i with outher peoples movements, should also point out that i will try and make it to london next week will be in touch latter

id just at this point like to point out to everyone that this whole thing wouldn't be happening without unji and we all appreciate how difficult it is for you being the only one actually on site as it were,

oh and good news about the friday rig, my first thought on the 6;15 thing was "oh my gawd"

we will only be able to put cable runs on the balcony for the saturday night if the are outside of the railings cable tied on, and we will only be able to set the rigs up on the saturday after 6.15pm

i will ask everybody their requirements through the imminent mass mailshot.

rigging the conference on the friday night is a *very* good idea, even if its just blocking it all out and finding tables.
