Looking to meet

Hey there,
I am a VJ in Las Vegas, looking for meeting others either here or coming here to visit.

Been VJ'ing for about six years now and been all over the US.
Been making graphics on all sorts of software for about seven or eight years and produce video too.

Looking to work with others on exchange of ideas.

questions about VJ'ing in Vegas give me a buzz, see if I can answer them.

The city is weird. Most of the clubs like to use as few people as possible for tech crew. So video is one of the last thought of things here in LAs Vegas. Most clubs have video display installations but their content is where the big hit takes place. Some places are running stuff that they have had for years.

For content though, theres neon, and people doing crazy stuff, like anywhere else.

I think you might be alluding to some of the bizarre but consistent patterns we also see in Calgary.

There are some mainstream clubs in this city with very impressive video installations from a technical perspective (i.e. beautiful large screens, beamers, and high ceilings). But when it comes to content, it's a joke. They keep showing the same tired MTV music videos and hockey games. :)

Well, I have worked all over Las Vegas here. The funny thing is that some of the clubs are still playing videos I made for them but they have had management changes. No video mixing anymore.

Or they switched to showing sports.!? Although there is a gay club I know of that gets this weird gay-nightclub video mix feed. Has big greasy beefcake guys twirling glowsticks...odd, unless you've done and seen a circuit party,...
