Hi there!
Has anyone of you know something about a program called global stream or can give me some information about it.....
I saw this program here in Holland this weekend. It's a program for streaming video. The vj didn't have the time to talk long to me

Well I never heard of it before, and Ive never seen it mentioned on these forums, but does this look like it....
http://www.globalstreams.com/
Key Features
Up to Eight Input Digital Production Switcher
Hybrid, real-time linear and non-linear editing system; no rendering
Real Time Character Generator
Animation and Paint Compositing Tools
Comprehensive Real-Time Linear/Non-Linear Editor
Real-Time 3D Video Warp Effects Creation Tool
Eight Input Digital Audio Mixer
Fully Digital Streaming Video for Encoder Capture
Internet Streaming Pixel Resolutions Supported: 120x160, 320x240, 640x480 and more
So basically it seems to be a video editing package but with lots of features designed for realtime or near-realtime use. Interesting, I will check it out when I get some time :) Just from briefly scanning their site the GlobeCaster Switcher looks like it may be of definite use to VJ's.

Yes! this was exactly what they're used.
Seen the info they used the globecaster studio. Don't know if it was the 4000 or 8000.
I know it's pretty expensive stuff....don't know exaclty how much.
They used it on 2 lcd projection tv's and 12 plasma screens hanging around the club.
Looked pretty impressive to me :D

A retailer they is selling these for $54,000 USD, though the sales guy said that he would sell his fully loaded floor model for $35,000 (Practically givin' it away!)

Well to be honoust, if I understood the guy, who was fooling around with the system, correct he said it was cheaper than the price you named. More in the order of 10.000/15.000 euros. Expensive anyway, more for big event things or club installation......
