DMX to Midi conversion software???

Anybody seen any software that could take in DMX and output MIDI???

I have an immediate need for a translator like this.

Any ideas??

what desk are you using? it might have midi in/out already on it.

What I want to do is make available DMX controll of a piece of software. I want to give the LD the capability to program into his cue stack different channels that for instance change inputs, start clips, etc. The VJ software can accept Keyboard commands galore. I also have been using a MIDI to Keyboard command interpreter program with an external MIDI controller called the DMC from Numark.

I figured it would be easy to find a little program that could take DMX input and convert that through a patch/map to designated MIDI channels.

very interesting. they dont use the standard midi style connector though do they?

No you have to update the chip and use there newest driver which includes midi output.

I am beta testing a driver that has keyboard shortcut output.
