interesting stuff!

How was the screen/head effect in frogz done? Projected onto a white box?

Haven't had time to work through them all yet but I will do.

the screen head , was a box with a long paper inside with the drawings ... not eletrical

LOL, the simple solutions are often the best ones :)

Looking back at it, I can see him cranking it now. The lighting is good - gives the box a really nice glow.

I'm using the latest media player as well, and was unable to play them. They would buffer for ages then play about 1 frame a minute. Often the same frame would be up during the entire duration of the clip.

I had to download the ".wmx" files, open them in a text editor and find the true path to the ".wmv" file.

The problem appears to be with streaming them from your server(s) using wmx. Best to just hand out links to the .wmv files and let the players do the buffering and playback on their own.

But hey, at least they are not RealVideo? format. ;)

Now I get about 3 seconds of moving video, then it stops on a single frame while the audio continues to play. With the gigabit connection here it should play just fine.

It would seem your servers just can?t handle video streaming. Most video streams give priority to audio. (they use it for time) Frames get dropped to keep the video in sync with the audio, and it would appear it?s just dropping all the frames when the stream. Providing a download option for the videos would prevent this issue.

"But hey, at least they are not RealVideo? format."

I'd have been able to view them if they were.
Windows media player always seems to fall over in this area - just asked myogenic to try too - they made his machine fall over!

ill tell the IT guys about this ...
what would be the solution for a global video streaming ?
beside upstream bitrate .... that i think they have the faster around here already
