Me and a friend who work side by side in VJ work are considering the prospect of VJ BATTLES. We want to VJ for a night that already has residents so we suggested to the promoter that WE set up a screen on one side of the dancefloor whilst the residents set up on the other side and we BATTLE for popularity (or just for plain fun and entertainment!!).
What does everyone think on this VJ BATTLE concept? could work well to bring forward the artists individuality in VJ work and push the 'wallpaper' VJ back to skool discos where they belong! Will also be comparable to the B-Boy battle concept, could grow to incorperate all sorts of attention grabbing ideas (extra lighting, better footage, VJS in stupid costumes! who knows!)
