Does this item exist?

I want to zoom in on a section of my 1024x768 output, but I don't want a component or s-video out...I want a VGA/SVGA output...

I want to zoom in on the upper left hand of my screen and project it using my projector. Yes, my projector has an s-video input but I was unsatisfied with it quality.

Buying a new projector with zooming built-in is not an option since most places I would use my setup have their own projectors installed and I couldn't be sure their projectors can zoom...

Does this exist or am I beating my head against the wall. $5000 video processors are kind of out of the question, too. I don't want to throw anymore money at this than I have to.

yes!

the Matrox family of video cards does dual-head zoom...check out the G450...it has two VGA outs and you can zoom on whatever part of the primary moniter you want...they also give you a rca/svid dongle that plugs directly into the 2nd VGA port to give you video out if you want it.

If i use the zoom function on the matrox 450 and zoom in on the preview window of vjamm , the result is very chunky... like the card isn't fast enough to zoom in and output speedy clips on the same time...

Also Geforce cards has zoom feature, but now im unable to test it - in zoom menu are two options, dynamic zoom when zoomed area is "sticked" to cursor and passive, but its disabled.
I guess its because it demands to have setted dual monitors mode as clone, but this setting is part of nview, which is accessible only in combination VGA + S-video. I dont have any Svideo periphery now to try it, so please correct me if im wrong... Then I would like to know if this will accelerate speed of played video...

its geforce mx 460

Well, I appreciate your replies, but I waan't looking for video card suggestions...

I need an external device which can zoom in on VGA. I've decided that devices do exist, but they are not cost effective...

...so, I'm going to make my own....

:-) :-) :-)

And, yes, I know how.... I build computer video devices as part of my job...
