Sweet, I've been waiting to see this thing for a while. This is the first software of this caliber that I have been able to use (with the exception of visualJockey). This could well become another tool in my belt.
Still curious to see how to create the 3D content.
Xynth looks really good and it performs really well. Can't wait to see more.

The interface will be unveiled at Alpha. I can't say when that will be, but the sooner the better!
All I can say for now is that the GUI is like nothing else out there - and for good reason: everything else out there pretty much sucks!
In the meantime, I will release 1 or more add-on environments between now and Alpha, (along with bug fixes) to keep you guys Vis'n.... I've amassed about 650 scenes over the last 9 months! :D
I also hope to show off some more detailed environments soon, but time is short these days - leaving me little time to create cool new geometry (I do all the artwork as it is!). What's interesting is I've generated hundreds of very different looking scenes using only like 4 meshes and 15 or so textures... the magic is in the synthesis process.
Also, I highly recommend playng your own tunes in winamp or whatever, in the background, and start up the demo and mix to your own stuff. Once you get the feel of it (takes me about 15-20 mins to warm up) and unleash dem skillz, you'll be amazed at the 'punch' it adds to almost any type of music!
Again, thanks for the interest - I need your support!

I am putting up a new executable that uses a cfg file to set fullscreen mode and resolution, until I can figure out the prob. Check the readme for cfg options
http://xynth.net/XYNth_Update_v0.491.zip
XYNth has so far been tested only on Win2K & XP with gForce2-4 and Radeon Cards/Drivers.
Feedback using your own hardware cfg is appreciated!

oh - btw, don't forget to let it load - this can take between 20 secs up to a minute (or more on a slow machine). The screen remains black during this period.

I had the same problem as *****, had to reboot to get back a normal screen resolution. I use Windows 98 too. It MAY be that I didn't wait long enough, but I still waited quite a long time (more than 30 seconds anyway). Maybe you should add some kind of progress bar for the loading so we know what's going on.

Ah it worked now, didn't count the load time but took way more than one minute  Really nice stuff, I liked the bright colors and how they were mixed, it gave a quite analog touch. :) Looking forward to see what the interface looks like.

6 minutes and 23 seconds to load.
Pretty chunky stuff.. I like it.
The load time for a dual screen set up could be a problem, But if that works out,,Id buy.

Heavy Crash.
Dual extended destop to Gforce tv out.
Platform 98 se,
same result
screen resize then blackout

I recommend not using 98. It sucks. 2000 is the first real OS that MS has made (except for NT maybe).

I use a nice solid install of win98se with the latest directX, QT, flash and media player and I run a bunch of VJ softwares with VERY LITTLE problem, its a matter of looking after and tuning your machine/OS. Windows only got more bloated with every version, XP getting to the point of insanity for a footprint of an OS.

eek, 6 minutes to load is quite excessive :o This is probably due to the amount of RAM, which should be at least 256MB.
My athlon XP1600 with 1GB RAM takes about 12 seconds, so something must be up with win98....
I will add this onto my neverending list of things to do/fix :)

I use xynth this weekend on Marco Remus this time my moterboard did not brock, like at DJ Rush party running well on the version 503 but fatal error on version 505
also 2 crashes during runnig version 503 but i have had just the message under xp send report, push boton "dont send" and the buton F9 an it runs again.
thanks eniac super it is a pleasure to work with Xynth
I am still excited for the final version of it
how to put films in it?
Xynth and Moonster are my prefered softs, mixing on 2 computers manualy and on the videomixer it is my show on the partys. because VJ's are every time just behind the DJ's I concider it is like that, a vj can get out of this dark corner of the discos.

I'd definitely like to try this, too. I'm searching for an alternative solution. When do you expect to have it out there, again? Could you put something out there even with an understanding that it's unstable or whatever, just so we can check it out?
I promise you, it cannot be any more unstable than what I have been using. I won't drop names, though.
Raymond.
