My studentl loan cheque hasn't come through yet... so it's time to sell off some of the equipment I'm not currently using.
I will sell over Ebay if I no-one here wants them. I'd hope to get more on Ebay than I would here, but seems right to post to fellow visuals fanatics first.

---- Things for people who like Rackmounted equipment ----
Cabinets on wheels
I have two things which I can only describe as Daleks. They are equipment cabinets on wheels (with ballast if you want it). Racking, front and rear doors (removable if you like). there are about 6 feet high and designed to have large Sony monitors sat on top. I have 2 left with monitors, all the others have been snapped up by friends). I've fit one + monitor into a ford focus, but it's not easy. These are best for people with vans. or people who just want one in their house. Ask for pictures.

There is plenty more AV gear in my room. Offers should be PMd or posted to this thead (prefer PM). Everything listed apart from the JCV VCR has been tested. I can't say they've been fully tested (for example - the large monitors have a "digiatal" input, I don't know anything about it, so I didn't dare plug anything into it. But as this is probably something that none of us would every use, I decided it didn't matter). I'm confident everything works. I'm also happy to answer calls whilst you're setting up etc. after having bought these items.
-----------------------------------------------
What does "B4SROC&LSinAVC" mean?
"Bought 4 a Stupidly Rich Oil Company & Left Sitting in and AV Cabinet". I work for and am sponsored by such a company (please don't hate me - most of my research is on renewable fuels). Large company get's advised it needs lots of high quality equipment it doesn't need, buys it, leaves it locked in the AV cabinet in the bord room. Most of the people sat in the bordrooms are there precisely because they can't do useful things like program a VCR, so the equipment is never touched. Eventually somone like me come along and offers to decommission it all and buy more new hardware.
------------------------------------------------
I'm based in Oxford, so these sales should be idea for people who live in London, Bristol, Redding, etc. I really would prefer pick-up as most of these items are heavy. But, if you want these things it's probably worth coming to get them.
Thanks,
Alan Geering
