Does anyone know the name of and/or the location of the bit of software that creates a photo image built up from smaller frame images - as done with the Yoda print built up with images from the Star Wars films?

xenofex 1.0 is a pseries of photoshop filters...it has one called stamper which takes an image and does what you described but i dont know if it takes more than one image...see attached ducky

sorry can't help there, but please share what ever info you can find when you do... I have been lookin into that for ages but have drawn a blank mainly cause I don't know what the actual process is called making it damn hard to search for it.

i realise its not the same as the yoda pic but you could use this filter to make such as piece - just time cosuming...divide pic into equal x and y pixels select each area separately and apply filter with different pic...obviously i'm not gonna show an example as it'll take an hour or so...

OK bingo...... found a list of freeware and shareware ones including Tyler, Mosaic Magic, Mosaic creator, Photo tiler and Mazaika..... a comparision page here http://mazaika.tripod.com/maztutor/mosaictest.html
I'm sure a search on anyone of those names should get you a download :)
