I'm already thinking about new features that could be implemented on VJCentral. One of them is a file exchange system, where everyone can upload files with a description, image, etc, and then members can comment, rate and of course download the file.

Because of bandwidth issue, I'd not be able to do this for video samples (also I think that FTP/Hotline servers are easier for this) but on the other hand I could do this for lighter files like images, Flash animations, Winamp AVS presets, vJo Effects Compositions (FXC), PD/eyeweb/NATO patches, etc. (and maybe other stuff, if you have any idea?)

So basically I'm just wondering if many people would use such a feature, to know if it's worth for me to take time to implement it? :) (it will take a few weeks anyway)

:yep: VERY good idea for all those small files

that could be very handy for pd tutorial files and "allways needable preset patches" (more tuts coming up... when i have time for them again)

Yeahh

make a category for midi plz
im nearly finished with setting up some basic Loagic Audio Enviroements for some Video Software that has midi funktions like triggering (videosampler and videosynthesizers like vdmx,arkaos,vjamm,Vegas,...)
since i use this way to control my gear i have it best organised and have a good totalrecall for working on more than one projekts @ the same time, maybe i can assimilate more people to use a midi sequencer for controlling.

this question aplays to both this question and the one about vj central tv what are the copyright isues that theses two ideas bring up?

OK for MIDI, good idea :)

All the files on the file exchange system will have to be copyright-free. Since it won't be video samples, it shouldn't be too much of a problem I think. As for the TV, I guess we can't avoid copyrighted material but it should be alright as long as VJCentral doesn't get too much attention. :)
