MX1 has recently started coruppting the colours on all inputs changing them to vertical scrolling horizotal bands of R/G/B it seems to be intermittent but is now coming up every time I turn it on but eventually disappears, it also seems to stop when you start to fade the other bus in with the t-bar, any ideas on how to fix or has anyone seen it b4??? before I waste money on what is bound to be an expensive service

Cheers :)

I wish I hadn't either....... I tried the twisting the unit thing in the MX1 review thread and it seems to be working so far, will try to take it for a service in the next couple of weeks, but have gigs to do first..... so anymore help would be good.

i haven't hat that exact problem with the mx1 but a very similar one. my image dissapears completely but only on some inputs. after running for 1/2 an hour or so it works properly again - it also works (most of the time) when mixing with the t-bar even if playing the source alone doesn't.
i haven't found a solution to the problem (other than service), but the malfunction hasn't worsened either, i.e. if the mixer doesn't work right from the start it always does so after some warmup time.

sounds like some dry joints to me - should be fix able by anyone whos a reasonable electronics bod (like the geeza that does the luma mods)

you shouldn't need to send it to videonics which is good coz they will charge an arm and a leg just to look at it

The image was turning ti green on 1 MX1 when I was doing transitions. Had to send it back and they gave me a new one. On a second model I have the image flashing from black to image when I'm connecting my computer (but working fine with my VCRs?????).
YOu can try to send it back to your national Vidonics place.
To change the MX-1 they charged me about 200$US.
