Hello

I am Lara :) The vj scene is lovely here, I have many lovely friends. A lot of London vjs meet up at Soxan, a lovely audio-visual night in Whitechapel. Especially people from the forum. There's quite a diverse range of vjs off the forums too, and a lot of work to be seen.

Have a look here (http://www.soxan.co.uk)

Hello fellow visualists!
Just a quick wave to those who posted, looking for VJs, projectionists and animators. As I fit into all 3 categories I thought I would stick my foot in the opening door.
I have done a lot of work creating visual loops and narratives for Theatre shows, animated circus backdrops and band tours. Video installation is a major passion and have worked with many forms of projection for festivals. Please get in contact if you wish to collaborate or just say hi.
Regards

Cant make the 29th thing, but sounds really interesting. Does this board get read much? Hows about we try and get a group of us together for a drink and chat etc?

I am just negotiating to take possession of a building in Kennington (near Oval Tube station) which will be studios for video/new/media/photography and will incorporate a public access area which can be used for performance/exhibition/events etc.

Provided we can agree terms we should be in the building in less than a month in which case we can start getting some VJ centric events organised. Maybe some VJ shootout nights or collaborations with people producing music. There will also be a possibility of exhibiting work there and carrying out installations etc.

We are also looking for people who need a cheap studio workspace (about ?150/month) including council tax, heating and lighting.

Hello,

For those in the west of town, I do a regular 'last Saturday of the month' gig at the Mau Mau bar in Portobello Road. Fairly manic music, with live visuals to suit, and a dangerously fine selection of well made cocktails :)

Will also be playing a char-ee-tee gig in Tufnell Park on the 22nd

The Soxan thing looks interesting - will try and make the next one!

Best wishes,

Alex

Do any of you want to work with a rock band on putting on a visual show to our music?
I posted here (http://www.vjforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=10317) to this effect.
Would be really great to put on a show with either our existing music (check out www.kingrat.net) or new compositions...
