I don't have experience with that particular unit, but I do personally own a nice portable DVD "walkman" and a 5.6" LCD as seperate units that can be had for the same price ($300) The nice thing about mine, aside from the standard ntsc/pal, region free, macrovision disable, dvd, svcd, vcd, mp3, etc is that is also has:
-USB connection, so you can use it as a DVD-ROM with your PC, and optional firewire cable available.
-Looping function (set in and out points)
