OKO T has developed a new 3d based interactive visualization system called 3dl lavins.

3dlavins is a scalable "Virtual Reality Entertainment System".

3dlavins allows unlimited possibilities in creating realtime interactive visualizations. It is especially powerful when used in conjuction with music. Its audio analysis feature incorporates beat detection and frequency isolation technologies which provides a new level of automation that has not been possible with other visualization technologies. This robust software can handle 20 layers of video being wrapped over a large variety of 3d dimensional meshes. Both meshes and video respond to audio, user input or premeditated programatic actions. 3dlavins has a true 3 dimensional Engine that allows for automated and manual camera controls via a variety of input devices. The software is server / client orientated, where the client software controls the ultimate outcome of the visualization. The clients run over a TCP/IP network using their own unique markup language. Some of the present clients include, a midi interface, webcam spatial positioner, video feeder and loader, video controller, 3d mesh loader and effect controller. The open design of 3dlavins allows for the system to change from an "EYE CANDY" creator to an emersive 3d game instaneously. Multiple viewports are also supported which allow the creation of physical spaces such as cubes or wrap around environments.

So not really software than more of a service.....or to be more cynical an advert........ummh I get enough spam in my email account.

I agree with Rova on this, it sounds cool but if it can't get into the hands of other performers/VJ/artists then it ain't much use is it???
