I've asked if its PAL/NTSC and power req.s cuz I can't remember if I've asked before.

There must be loads of these things kicking about the place - we had 2 at the college where I used to work - have to say that they were less than impressive IMO - OK if you want cheesy retro/ironic effects, tho maybe folks have discovered some cracking effects that our two professional ex BBC AV techs missed!
But if you want your clips to look like late 70s / early 80s Top of the Pops, this is the machine for you, but surely not for ?2000.

i still recon that a CVI is worth ?500 as a collectors item - it has almost no usefull aplication in modern VJing (come on morph flame me!!) but does some nice stuff and is very tactile

if enough people hassle me then i might dig mine out of storage and make you all some clips with it.

it really needs a good chromakey source (like someone dancing in front of a bluescreen) as an input though to get the best from it effects - now where could i get such footage from? (me being bluescreen and camera-less at the moment)

I've found a Kaos pad going cheep @ a pawn shop, combne that with my new laptop and a VJ app (prolly resolume or VJo) and a USB2 cap dongle I'll have an entrancer with unlimited FX @ 640x480... yes thankyou :)
