Hahahaha man I love psuedo-esoteric rave promo mumbo-jumbo..... damn that was a good one too.... hmmm is there like a course that psy-trance promoters take to write this shit??? :p

Yes, I don't know bout the writing courses, but there must certainly be courses in psychedlics....Hmm...:)

Yeah I graduated from that with an A+ ;)

Still would be nice to see something new and interesting from psy-trance promoters rather than the same old cosmic alignment/soltice/nexus/chakra/3rd eye rubbish I mean its getting a bit old really... and when it comes down to it, it just a bunch of dribble trying to make out that the party is going to be like some spiritual event that the punter can not "possibly" even comsider missing....

indeed it's still 60ish icon kinda stuff, but we seriously have done events with inipi ceromonies(sweat lodge), have had workshop's
drum making classes, and a variety of a bit higher vibrational frequencies...I would think it keen to be able to learn some Aboriginal ceromony, and put it into some kind of dance focus...
BTW, the disclaimer's about the drugs, is mainly a way to get the
general population (and the law enforcement) to coop. w/us in this valley where it is bein thrown...were talkin rural colorado here..(and it's not near Aspen)

One last thing about PChakra, is that all the visual talent's that are performing, are doing so, because they do believe in better ways of living and playing, and none are getting paid, (except with hospitalities)..
And I Agree
most typical promoters don't work the visual(not cost effective) and are $$$ hungry maggets...If we all try, maybe we can change that, but I doubt the greed factor will ever go away...and there are always plenty of these kind of events that are ravey and kiddy, but this event, is not one of those kinda events....(")

Well I don't know if this chakra talk is marketing bullshit or not but this sounds like an awesome event, that's for sure.

Isn't this burning man festival a bit similar?

vjpixylight

agreed it is a little over the top and I didn't write it, it is flyer hype..Next time I will look before I leap...

burning man is an experience unto it's self...nothin like BM...
but there will be quite a few cats that go regularly to BM at the Psychic Chakra and wether you look a the chakras as real or not,
it is the 'third eye' one, so it has to be visual...Which is the goal, and a little challenging to set up in a DJ/VJ opposition style...where the DJ and VJ play the same amount of time(At the same time of course) then the next DJ/VJ combo mixes in their set... (VideA2001 was a little scatted when it came to this style, with alot of breaks between DJ sets.)
has anyone had experience with this sort of presentation? I know over in Europe you usually use the MX50 if possible, but More of the VJ I think will want to bring their own video mixers and gear...

OK.
Now that vj pixylight has baited my ego w/ stage time, I am REALLY trying to go.

I am looking for a ride. Perfectly willing to pay equal cut for gas/etc. I believe I can get a minimal VJ kit and my camping gear/supplies down to a single large backpack (mountainsmith). I am an excellent driver, a super camp cook, and can hold my own in a conversation. I drink too much coffee.

Otherwise, I am looking for interested parties in the Wisconsin/Chicago area to ride out in my nice newer van (1998 Dodge Ram 1500, full-size, short-box, A/C, cruise control, 4 captain's chairs, and plenty of room in the back for shit, look down into SUV's, comfy, tape deck and CD...).
I conservatively estimate the gas to cost $500 round trip. To be split equally of course. Probably camp once on the way with the crew from Milwaukee. Still waiting to hear back from the Chicago crew.

Please reply here or send me an email if interested!

a more scientific method of fuel cost analysis shows gas to be more along the lines of $400 round trip......
