the cimatics event will be postponed to april 2003... in place of the event, we shedule a special webcasted VJ night on Boups.com web stream. It will be broadcasted in Montreal in SAT event and maybe on other places ... we are open to any proposition of broadcast anywhere it could be shown to an audiance...

I'm just saying that on the 12 october, the cimatics festival will be only through internet: we'll hold a 12 hour stream of audio/visuals from the boups.com studios in bruxelles and that the stream could be send to anyone that want to show it to a public.

So we offer to the community participate to the Avit event trough internet (just plug a computer, the projector and the sound in Leeds) and we'll play from bruxelles... we can also talk about transmitting Avit elsewhere (maybe we wont be able to hold the 12 h alone, or during change, etc ...)
we are already connected with the SAT event in montreal, where cimatics stream will be shown extensively. The SAT event will be transmitted in Bruxelles ... and I'm shure it also could be in leeds ...

I'm talking about inter-connecting all the possible events on the planet this 12 october in order to extend to point of view of this community (VJforum, etc) with the other differents groupes of poeple doing VJing ....

I know there is also an event in Paris on the 12th ...
we maybe could get a stream from/to that event....

We have to know if Avit event is open to this idea and will participate by plugin the adsl and showin the stream ...
and we want to open the idea and the stream to any venue wanting to show one or more streams of total audiovisual experience...

I was at the Mix_Session meeting yesterday at SAT (Soci?t? des arts technologiques) here in montreal and here is what I know :

There will be a stream at something like 72 kbps coming from boups.com in bruxelles shown at the Mix_Session event on Oct 12. The name of the event here in Montreal is Tr@ns_mix. There will also be a high-bandwith (500+ kbps) stream from the SAT, with live performances from Montreal's best VJs and DJs. 10 VJs and DJs, a lounge with interactive visuals, where everyone is allowed is play with some installations and where the Boups.com stream will be shown.

What would be cool is to be able to connect the AVIT event to the Montreal SAT internet stream via a high-bandwith solution. I don't know a lot of clubs with such connections but who knows ? This way, even if I don't make it to AVIT, I would still be able to show you my stuff ;)
