Newbie Question

Could someone please give me a brief rundown on the necessary equipment required to start VJing? I'm looking to run 3 or 4 analog cameras in, maybe some DVD or MPEG for material, run all that through a PC to drop in the effects, and output it to digital projectors, video, whatever.
