UK Media Announce Grants for Audiovisual Festivals
UK Media have just announced the launch of grants to support audiovisual festivals.
The support scheme is open to festivals featuring creative films (e.g. feature, documentaries, cartoon ? shorts or full length) or festivals devoted to new types of image technology.
Grants of up to 50% of the costs actually incurred are available for promotion and advertising, equipment hire, subtitling and translation and towards the transport of prints. The grant may be up to 60% for projects that contribute to the enhancement of European linguistic and cultural diversity. The beneficiary must provide the remaining funds.
The deadline for application for festivals occurring between 1st May 20004 and 31st October 2004 is the 5th December. A second deadline, for festivals between 1st November 2004 and 30th April 2005 has been set as 3 May 2004.
