What kind of store sells these things - velcro sturdy straps that you can position all around the projector and hang. the guy I used to work with used them all the time and they worked fine and were sturdy enough. Well, now I am on my own, doing my own thing and have more questions than I used to about set-up.
Thanks,
Cat

Fabric stores carry VERY sturdy stuff, get the stuff that's at least 2" wide but even then, I'm not sure I would trust hanging a projector by velcro alone... unless it was mummy-fied in velcro.

bad bad bad
If youre going to use any strapping , at least use ratchett straps.

DONT BODGE IT!
It's not worth it!
Buy a projector mount or other official means of suspension - don't be a cheap-skate!

I did go to Home Depot and took a look at ratchet straps. Seems like another hassel but probably the better alternative. Is there a place online that sells a nice portable projector cradle or mout set-up that is safe and not to hard to rig up everytime?
I like the "better overkill than kill someone idea" - kind of drove the point home.
Thanks,

I looked all over their site but did not see anything portable and easily applicable to the traveling VJ scenario.
