Motion Dive using live feed via iSight/QuickTime Broadcaster

Thinking aloud here... has anyone tried to use a live video feed in Motion Dive or similar Mac VJ software using using iSight and QuickTime Broadcaster.

When I export a live feed(broadcast) Motion Dive doesn't recognise this streaming file in the MD library.

Anyone got an idea on how to get a live feed into the library?

i dont think you can - if fact i know you cant - ill speak to teh creators when i see them this w/e

best thing is to run teh live feed and motion dive through a vision mixer and mix that way.

nope
they dont like teh idea of a live cam or audio feed for now....

but they are teased with teh idea.
im off to japan to check their set-up in 10 days so there will be more time to discuss future options.

midi is something digital stage have been testing and to good effect with MDT

something i welcome considering MDT is only drag and drop for clips and not so intuitive in performance terms

there is a USB jog shuttler that can be utilised as well - not sure how much affect it will have with the clip selection though.

the isight appears as any other firewire camera in almost all softwares i've tried it in, except FCP. i've used it in RC Fuse, and it works a treat.
if u wanted the isight for use with ichat or somthing, ichat can handle a firewire stream form anything, i plugged a mix through my cam once and played that ove the ichat network, sound and all, a super easy way to broadcast to someone (OT)...
