I`ve been away and missed much of the discussion but would definately like to be involved.

If theres any graphics/design work needed would be happy to help.

Would love to play aswell, currently working on a live pa set but dont know if it`ll be ready for october but am always up for the clubby side of vjing.

Might be able to help with promotion, i know a few people that work for an flyer distrubution company in south west, so they might help. also know an editor for a south west listing mag who want to interview me soon.

Still need website help or is it in hand?

right, i've been thinking about this in relation to the various spaces we have to offer during the three sections and i reckon if we keep it tight with just the people who whant to play from hear, software developers as well, understanderbly, they would all like to play as well as show there wares and the headliners, whoever they may be, then we could all get to play at some point :)
admitidly we are not going to all be able to play at 12-2pm, but hay carn't have everything
we also talked about doubeling up on the V.J.'ing times, works very well for the V.J.'ing jams/clash's, the space alowes it.
one thing we should note is that if we go with the cornex then it will be 1 sound system and 2 or 3 seperate spaces that we could work in, with at least 2 that we could doubel up on
i've just been working out how meny v.j's we could have through the night and i got this image of us just packing them in so i was wondering what you guys thought of this idea? 'cos we could have up to 15 v.j. slots on the night gig if we play it 2 hour sets, or we could have longer sets, less people?

whylimit it to doubling up,
we could have 3 or 4 rigs set up mixing to just the one set of music
when an av act is on they could have the main screen(s), feed thair output to the others who could remix it live....
maybe we should start thread re: equipment, find out how many
people own their own Beamers/screens and mixers and who would be up for bringing them along

right i thought i put this up but carnt find it so probebly not anyway latest up dates....

1) the link up with the corn ex and technique is sorted which means the venue is good to go, just got to dot the i's and cross the t's on that one

2) saw the film fest people yesterday and they are well hapy with what is hapaning, we are now the end of festi party which means that they will realy push us

3) the only bad news is that the resolume boys wont be able to make it they send there apoligies, it's a real shame as it's the software that i use and would have loved for them to come along ah well...... :(

We Were Not Born To Work, comprising SyZyGy (me) and PilotX, will be busting it up from London (we've got a gig on the Friday night) to make it to Avit.

Hopefully we'll be able to make it in time for the early stuff but we'll definitely be there with our kit to jam.

I've added what equipment we are willing to contribute to the event to the equipment thread. Now all I need to find out is where we can help performance wise or is that already tied up?

Check our profile for a quick experience check. We're keen to play wherever theres a slot, and we'll be bringing our full complement of equipment for use at any parts of the event.

wow glad I looked up the avit site .we will be there as well. The Netherlands good learn a thing our two about creating a vj "community" looking forward to our set (uhm is the stanton warriors slot taken??) vjing is extremely underrated and it's time to give it the light it deserves as the most innovative way of communicating. bless you vjcentral!!
