I'm trying to determine how I'm sittin as far as personal living/eating expenses go while in Brighton..I'm sure there are others coming from abroad who might like the info too, so here's a thread all its own for it..
I was wondering if the locals might be able to give an estimated GPB-per-day kind of "skint yank on the town" figure...how much can a guy expect to spend a day in Brighton for modest-to-cheapish meals and incidentals (tobacco, cup of coffee, bus fare, etc)?

For example, in the states a typical lunch costs $5-8 and a dinner can be more like $5-12...so an estimate per day might be $15-25
of course depends on what you're into, but I think you know what I'm gettin at..

I'm skint and living in brighton, so maybe heres a few usefull tips.

Everything is quite central for the festival so you will save a bit of cash by just walking everywhere.

Booze is expensive in the UK so be carefull that doesn't blow your budget, bring your own carton of cigarettes if you smoke, you'll save quite a few meals there.

In terms of eating..anything between 5 to 15 pounds pd, depends if you chose to hang out in restorants or to buy a few rolls of bread, some cheese and sit on the beach.

Accomodation between 20 to 35 pd but make sure you check the thread on that, there's a few contact details there.

hope that help a bit
see you soon
