please have a look at our site:

the clips are relatively large, hope you don't mind and don't have a 56k modem...
we are a relatively new vj crew in germany and need some feedback on our works, so go ahead and drop us a few lines!
criticism, be it good or bad, would be very appreciated.
thanks a lot!

Hey I just got time to see the brumnbass mov, I like the way you were building up the pace of the visuals along with the music, the sharp cuts between the slower and faster martial arts scenes . . . that's a great technique that worked well. I also like the clip of the world with the cityscape showing through, nice :)
Do you guys make your own stuff? Are you planning to?
Keep up the good work ;) :yep:
Perhaps check out this thread for a little discussion/inspiration?:

cheers Lara  for your comments and taking the time. Be sure to check the other clips as well.
They are all in quite a different direction not only musical wise.
when performing live we sometimes have two people mixing on two lappys and the combination of styles is pretty interesting (I humbly guess...).
And yes we do and have done our own stuff, the number of flashfiles and videoclips is increasing as time allows...
But nevertheless there are some moving images that are nearly impossible to produce by yourself, "sampling" is IMHO a valid thing to do.

I loike the desigh a lot, it is ver minimalistic and strait to the point and very elegant, you made it there.
Now, the clips are too big, I know is video but it would take too long to download if I'm making an audition over the internet.
What I would do is to gide the option to download the same versions in mpeg 4 and one bige version of everything together, I rather download one clip of 40MB or 60MB than several of 10MB, it would be just one downloading process while I can do other things with the computer at same time until the download is ove.
My sugestion is that your best bed is to create, beside of what yoy already have, one compilation, with the name of all of you at the begining of each clip.
That is the only thing I can think of.
And... even your site looks a lot like mine I would sugest you to place a link called "services" maybe, explaning what you need to perform, the kind of work you do, maybe the prices, etc. you know, keep it as simple and stupid as you can.

website looks good, maybe add some more info on services (as VJRei stated...)
regarding the clips, for some reason the divx clips don't work for me (I think it's a codec issue), Th QT's work.
The drum'nbass clips is cut nice, clips are nice but overall is a bit dark/grey/not very rich. Auto levels will boost the contrasts and richness enormously (I think) If you're using resolume try pete warden's levels over this clip, put auto on an d you'll see what I mean...
I will post review of the other clips soon!
good work!

for all those people on macs, use VideoLan Client to watch the divx's (it the only player worth having on macs)
Some nice videos there dude, unfortuantly the trance one breaks up about halfway through, losing the vidoe and sound goes all tweaky, dunno if thats my player or d/l, might wanna check it out.
and nice site, i like the simplicity, simialr to what im aiming for at the moment :)

finally was able to see the videos after upgrading divx. love your style :yep: did you do the videos live or did you prepare them a bit before recording? and did you get the video of the karate girl (at the end of drum'n'bass vid) from the av.com loop exchange or is it just by sheer coincidence that we captured the same thing? ;) looks great either way...

good start, definately a feeling for the music, but pretty generic -- seemingly random clips, low production quality, and mostly unimaginative mixing. but i'm a bit cynical and twisted when it comes to judging vj quality nowadays.
maybe have a look over the vids again having checked out people's thoughts on creating content over at VJC - here are my points, which might kinda explain my reaction...

hey spark, i actually agree to your critic, having seen quite a bit of other peoples works, but:
we are learning from gig to gig. vjing is also a craft that takes quite a bit of practice, as we probably all know. We perhaps should have considered taking more time to release the site...
 So thank you (and theres no irony here!) for your frank and open words, we appreciate this kind of critique!
keep it coming people!

Hi eXhale,
just to answer your question,
i captured the clip of the kungfu girl from a music video clip by a band called cylob, the clip comes from the song rewind.
to get rid of the mtv-logo i used a lot of wild keyframe cotrolled zooming. later on i added som strange ancient tv simulator fx to give it the look and colors i wanted.
