CHeck the reviews on VJC mate I have one of these units and have reviewed it alread, the toaster that is.
I recently saw an I-cube going for sale on aussie e-bay...... personally I think its a great unit but a bit over priced in my book.

yeah its a nice 'ready to go' package and does not take much effort, but it is VERY expensive. for about $100 you can have an USB i/o device that works as well for sensors. If you need MIDI out of them you can try a project at www.ucapps.de
remember any fader / knob can be replaced by any sensor if you make it give 0-5v.

we are using an i-qubex to control the floor in gridio (http://www.gridio.com) (our interactive enviroment for the Pompidou center)
it is quite versitile but has a few issues that need to be sorted out
it works very well when configured but the windows configuration software is not very good and its very fussy about your midi interface (may work better on a mac??)
also some of the more advanced features are only available by using the max objects that it comes with (no good if your not using max)
the triggers and the hardware itself are fairly robust (ours got a bit mashed up by the workmen who were laying the floor and we blew a couple of fuses) and it seems very reliable once installed (ours has done 3 months in the MACBA with no problems)
i'll write a review for vjcentral when i have the time
