I am selling a unique chromascope that has factory-modified custom features. Instead of video switches 1-4 on the front it has External Source, Pattern Freeze, External Sync, External Burst. It also has a horizontal sync adjustment on the front panel. These features solve the sync problems other units suffer from. Unfortunately, it is not a rack-mountable piece and I can't fully utilize it. Plus, this belongs in a true collectors home. It's in great condition inside and out. I will get pictures soon and shots of the TV to verify it works.
$2500.00 US OBO
(This may seem steep but it seems to be an extremely rare version and has special features no other chromascope version can do.)

Did you ever find out if it is PAL or NTSC?

It's PAL. I'm converting it to NTSC. I know it's a high price but I think it's fair considering it's a rarity and it has unique functions no other chromascope version has. If you check the chromascope hardware thread, nobody has seen another one like it. I think a normal chromascope should go for $500-$1000 at most. This is a very special piece that is more for a collector of rare video hardware than a working VJ. In this context, I think it is a reasonable price to get a one-of-a-kind piece.

Oh, I forgot to mention, it also has a built in color bar. I don't know if other models have that.

pictures pictures pictures?????

also your price seems very very high - the chromascope is not that rare and allthough you have custom features there is no way any piece of 20 year old electronics is worth two and a half grand.

i payed 90 pounds for a standard chromascope and personally i think that was a bit steep.

also for any serious collector any attempt to modify the output to be ntsc would massivly reduce the value of an otherwise original piece

This unit has been factory modified. The unit is PAL. I use an external converter for NTSC, so the boards are untouched. I will post pictures, that way if someone knows of other units with these features, I'd sell it for much less.
