I'm looking for someone to VJ at a meditative prayer event for 11-25 year olds in Birmingham Cathedral on 12th March. Let us know your costs - we will pay travel expenses and provide a hot meal!

Craig, I live a considerable distance away from Birmingham (approx 2hrs) but should you be stuck by all means get in touch.

Perhaps some more information would help here too. Whether you have the screens and projectors covered, length of performance and a guide on specific imagery you want to use.

I'm sure it's a lovely space to do some visual work in.

Let me know your rates... also as it's a Christian Youth event... I have to ask.. are you a Christian!?
It's going to be stuff that will going on in the background rather than the main part of the event. Its going to be a calm, meditative event with prayer stations and a couple of points where we'll have some Taize style worship and an Ignation prayer time. So music will need to be quite chilled - and visuals prayerful. But Christian rather then Zen or anything!

We're not going over the top on projections - most likely one screen - there will be loads of other things going on at the same time. We have our own gear for projection and sound so that side is covered. Most likely that whoever Vjs will connect via phonos to our mixing desk and Video via VGA

Certainly from a personal point of view I think I'd prefer you and the event to organise the musical aspect as this, not knowing the church, event etc would be very easy to get wrong.

Prayerful visuals are not a problem and could even be found from within the church with a decent camera focussing on various objects and aspects of the church itself mixed with the usual sort of background material on these occasions clouds, natural elements etc.

Most VJ's will happily convert the signal to the projector and therfore you shouldn't be confined to a VGA cable.

As long as the screen and projector are there my offer/rate is as you publish and requested Craig - Free with assistance in expenses ie fuel.

As I say I'm 2 hours away but if your stuck with local VJ's booked up by all means get in touch.

Am I a Christian?....I've offered to help and therfore should give you an indication. I don't do well on this forum with regards to political arguments and I wouldn't think I'd fair well in a religious one :)

I just realised that you already answered my question about music - oops.
So if I can get a DJ - we'd be sorted... back to finding contacts!!
I'll be in touch SteveG
