We're on the look out for more staff again, this time round its based in our warehouse -
We’re currently looking for an Audio Visual warehouse technician or a junior AV technician who is looking for a new and demanding challenge in our busy warehouse.
You will be based in our warehouse, working with the existing warehouse team prepping and checking audio and video equipment as well as occasionally installing & operating AV at live events. The core hours are 0900-1730 but you will need to be flexible as work outside of these hours is part of the industry (early mornings, late nights and weekends).
The ideal candidate for this role will ideally have some experience in an AV warehouse or an AV junior technician who feels they are confident enough to work in a busy Event Production company.
The successful candidate is to display an understanding of the AV and Events industry with experience in all aspects of audio and visual equipment and be able to work under pressure and have a very good technical understanding.
Reporting to the AV Warehouse Coordinator your key areas of responsibility will be:
• Preparation of Sound, Visual and associated Equipment for events
• Checking prepared kit and supervising its dispatch & return
• Carrying out routine maintenance and repair of equipment in line with industry best practice and ensuring PAT testing is rigorously carried out to schedule
• To support the AV Team in day to day operations
• To install and operate AV at live events as & when the need arises
• Liaising with Warehouse Manager & Head of AV
• Supporting the efficient operation of the AV warehouse resources and supporting the Warehouse Manager.
• Monitoring activity in the AV section of the equipment database
• Manage and organise a busy workload and daily, weekly and monthly tasks
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of our project processes
Essential requirements:
• Audio & video equipment experience of a range of audio and video equipment ideally including D&B, Yamaha, Extron, Barco, Christie, Panasonic, Sennheiser, Shure
• Practical maintenance skills including soldering, cable creation, painting etc
• Excellent problem solver
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
• Enthusiasm, energy and a ‘Can do’ attitude
Desirable:
• Drivers License
• Experience of London’s events industry and suppliers
You must be able to start early January 2010.
