Hi
Just wondering if anybody has used this sw ?
It loads fine on my machine and I think I figured out most keys except...the load one.
I can't figure for the life of me how to import a movie or a picture. Using latest version.
Any help ?!
Cheers

Yeah I have used an old version of the software, and there was some recent discussion here about unarchiving the .lzh (bloody stupid format) files.
I personally have been meaning to DL the latest version and do a review but be our guest :)
As for loading files you have to put them manually into the directory structure of the software.... open the folder in windows explorer and you will see what I mean.

Ok, so it worked !
You need to put your media under it's own directory structure for each bank you want something to appear in the program.
Now, what really sux is that there is no way that I can see of outputting the final image to full screen :(
And as such it's pretty useless to me, too bad cause the FX are very very nice and quick.
Is there any way around this, I also see SVi is the same as well, a tiny output window...
I have an ATI dual head/TV Radeon 7500.
Should I get a 2nd monitor(which I will anywaze) and a scan converter ? Will this produce good quality or just pixelated output(assuming you can zoom with the scan converter) ?
Should I get a 2nd PCI graphics card instead, and use my ATi as the main output ? Is that better ? Will it work, will I be able to get full screen ?
I'm so confuzed
Thanks for you help !

Personally I use SVi as my main work horse program (admittedly mostly because its free and I know the author). Get yourself a reasonabley priced 1/4 screen zooming scan converter with good upscaling (bicubic interpolation, preferably)... and bob's your uncle... or I do know some ppl that use SVi wi9th teh output window on a second monitor, but then you loose you preview on the main window and there is no way I can see to make that work with tranZ.

OR (as I just remembered) you could wait a a couple of weeks for SoftScan to come out... which will output any selected area from the screen onto a second screen or composite output :)

hey cheers for the replies mate.
maybe I'll just wait for the softscan and see if't possible with my Athlon XP1600...
Also, since you seem to be the Svi guru here
When I mix 2 channels using overlay the screen is halved horizontally, is there anyway around that ? Oh and how do I assign functions to the keyboard ?
Thanks !

to assign a clip to the keyboard right click on it in the Clip DB window and select assign to keyboard and press the key :)
As for the Xfade not working, personally I never worked on my first laptop, CHris thinks there was an issue with the grafix card.... works fine on my new one.I heard a friend of mine had some luck fixing it... I'll email him and post back :)
