AV Warehouse Coordinator/Supervisor
Based in South East London

We’re currently looking for an AV warehouse supervisor/coordinator who is looking for a new and demanding challenge in our busy AV warehouse.
You will be based in our warehouse, supervising our AV warehouse operations making sure that things run smoothly. This is a very social role and involves constant liaison with project managers, freelancers and London’s event suppliers.
The ideal candidate for this role will be either experienced in warehousemanagement/supervision or an experienced senior AV technician who feels they are confident enough to manage the logistics of a busy AV department, warehousestaff and freelance crew.
The successful candidate is to display an excellent understanding of the AV and Events industry with a minimum of 24 months experience in installation and operation of all aspects of AV equipment. They are expected to hit the ground running, be able to work under pressure, be outgoing, have a can do attitude, be forward thinking and have a very good technical understanding.
Reporting to the Head of AV your key areas of responsibility will be:
· To coordinate audio & video equipment throughout a projects life -obtaining quotations from 3rd party suppliers, creating purchase orders, booking, checking/preparing kit, supervising kit collection, dispatch & return
· Identifying and rectifying any logistical or technical issues quickly and efficiently
· To manage the AV Warehouse regarding audio and video equipment including fault finding, maintenance, logistics and AV warehouse staff
· Make the most efficient use of resources available
· To support the AV Team in day to day operations
· To provide technical audio and video support to the AV and production teams where applicable
· To manage and provide technical support of the AV departments use of Rental Point software
· To install and operate AV at live events as & when the need arises
· Carrying out routine maintenance and repair of equipment in line with industry best practice and ensuring PAT testing is rigorously carried out to schedule
· Supporting the efficient operation of the AV warehouse resources and supporting the Warehouse Manager.
· Monitoring activity in, and keeping up to date, the AV equipment database
· Manage and organise a very busy workload and daily, weekly and
monthly tasks
· Demonstrate a clear understanding of our project processes and
systems including the creation of quotes, obtaining quotes and creating purchase orders and have the ability to practise these on a daily basis
Essential requirements:
· AV equipment experience including the installation and operation of a range of audio and video equipment including D&B, Yamaha, Extron, Barco, Christie, Panasonic, Sennheiser, Shure etc and familiarity with Cat 5, Fibre, video and digital multicores
· Experience of London’s events industry and suppliers
· AV hire desk/project coordination/management experience
· The ability to identify and rectify any logistical or technical issues quickly and efficiently
· Practical maintenance and upkeep skills including soldering, cable creation etc
· Excellent PC skills with a good understanding of MS Office
· An eye for detail
· Excellent problem solver
· Project coordination skills
· Excellent communication & people skills
· Team player
· Enthusiasm, energy and a ‘Can do’ attitude
Desirable:
· Experience of Rental Point software
· Drivers License
· Experience of PC/data networking
· Client liaison skills
