First of all...thanks to PDoom!!! This thing rocks bigtime! I can't believe how amazing! Okay, anyways...I was wondering if anyone had any DM2Midi template settings for use with fruity loops. I have been messing with it, but there are soooo many options and I don't know where to start in programming my own template. I think it would be cool to set up 4 modes kind of like the Traktor settings. Perhaps 1 mode for for recording notes, 1 mode for mixing, 1 mode for scratching, etc. The ability to auto detect midi messages in Fruity makes it very versatile and easy to customize a setup, but like I said, I'm having trouble because there are tooo many possibilities :D
Anyways, if anyone has, or is working on some templates for Fruity Loops, please let me know!
Thanks!

BTW, does anyone know the CC# for "Record" in FL?

Glad you like it :)

However, this forum isn't related to musicmaking actually, so you would probably get better response when posting this in the fruity loops forums (I think dm2midi has been on topic there already).
I don't remember the URL of the forums, but I'm sure you can google it.

Great! Thanks for the info :)
Once again....AMAZING WORK!
btw, I noticed when using the scratch wheel, it slowly over time seems to increment backwards. What I mean is, if I'm scratching a wav file, after several scratches, the cue point (or midpoint) will end up slightly behind the original position. If I scratch for several seconds, my "midpoint" will have moved back significantly. I pretty positive it has nothing to do with DM2Midi...I think it's just that the scratch ring is slightly loose before it "catches" on the forward spin. Do you get this? Or perhaps my DM2 wheels are a bit messed up.

about the scratch-wheel: yes, this can have several reasons. First, there is a maximum speed for the wheel (which is quite low), so if you move it fast in one direction and then slowly back to its original position, you won't end up at the same position.

If you're using incremental mode for the scratch wheel, you also probably won't be able to keep the midpoint because of the way incremental controllers are handled by your music software.
Some software interprets it as a 'speed' value, and others even apply non-linear curves to it, which both messes up the relationship between scratch-position (in software) and the actual wheel position.

Btw, which software are you scratching WAV files in? fruity?

ps: stay tuned, there will be an update to DM2MIDI in a week or so!

Oh ok...I was hoping it wasn't messed up scratch rings. Yes, I'm using the Fruity scratcher for this. It's actually quite decent, but I have to compensate for this "midpoint change". Wow, an update already huh! Cool :D
Thanks again....YOU ROCK!!
