ok i'm writing this relitivley sober but the titel says it all in relation to avit, as anyone who was about for the last one knows avit was created out of a D.I.Y. just do it atitude, which i now see spiriling of in all sorts of diferant directions from the usa gig to open air avit to who knows what, i'm just absolutley f*****g amazed that people are takeing up the baton and runing with it
from this i think that you should be aware that the origanell idea of avit came out of a very drunken conversation (on my behalf) with exhale and robofunk, basicly i had contacted vj's.net on behalf of exhale re-there gig last night year, to try and get a vj forums space but as is my useawell want i was far to late so i thought "well why dont we do somthing of simerler ilkl" so in conversatioin i asked robo about a festi he was involved in at the time and put forward some basic ideas about how to create something like it, basicly thinking "hay party in amsterdam, that sounds like a cool idea, bring it on!" :) then i found myself answereing the question from exhale "well you sound like you know what your talking about (lol) why dont you do it in leeds? so of corse, ego being ego, i replied " yhe corse i can do that" only to wake up the next morning with a very bad hang-over and faceing the responsobility of organiseing it, ego is a great motivator when you need it to be, and of corse i couldn't back down now
why am i saying this?
well basicly to try and demistifi the realitys around somthing like this, again goes back to the origionel idea in the first place, and say absolutley anyone, male or female (sory had to put that in re-the latest big rant on females and male vj's, yhe i know, but it's always good to stir the pot from time to time) can create some thing amazing if we only belive it to be so, i'm talking actual realitys hear not your "oh i am god" stuf when you take to meny trips, lol
i just realy whanted to say..............
"that if a drunken bum like myself can start (start being the oprotive word because without every one else beliveing/foolish enough to listen to me, etc, then it would never have got of the ground in the first place) something like this just think what you can do?"
